One held with 20,300 pieces of yaba tablets from Bagerhat

Detective Branch (DB) of police today recovered huge number of yaba tablets worth about Taka 1.1 crore from a bus in Katakhali Bus Stand in Fakirhat upazila of the district.

They also arrested a man for his alleged involvement in peddling drugs from the spot.

The arrestee was Kalam Hossain, son of Abdul Gafur, hailed from Nathua Danga of Nathua Nathua Thana of Satkhira district.

Bagerhat Police Super Md Towhidul Arif said, on a tip-off, a team of DB police raided the area and seized 20,300 pieces of yaba tablets from a box and arrested Kalam.

Legal action has been taken in this regard.
