Khaleda Zia's treatment to continue at Evercare Hospital for now: Dr. Zahid
BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's treatment will continue at Evercare Hospital in the capital for now. Whether she will be taken abroad or not will depend on her physical condition and the decision of the medical board.
Khaleda Zia's personal physician and BNP standing committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain shared this information while briefing to the reporters in front of Evercare Hospital on Saturday night.
He further said that after various necessary tests, the doctors decided that Khaleda Zia needed more intensive care. After that, on the morning of the 27th, Khaleda Zia was taken to the CCU as per the decision of the medical board formed for her. Her son, acting chairman of the party Tarique Rahman, is supervising the overall treatment of the BNP Chairperson at the hospital.
Dr. Zahid said that the treatment is continuing and will continue in this hospital on the advice of expert doctors from different countries including the United States and China.
Requesting people not to crowd in the hospital area right now, he said there are many other patients admitted here along with the BNP Chairperson. So that none of their treatment activities are disrupted, everyone will pray for her recovery from their respective places according to their respective religions, reducing the crowd as much as possible.
In response to a question from journalists, Dr. Zahid said, "The matter of taking Khaleda Zia to abroad depends on her physical health and the decision of the medical board. If the medical board takes any such decision, the countrymen will be informed through you (journalists).
