Leaders of political parties visit Khaleda Zia at hospital
Leaders from various political parties are continuing to visit BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital to inquire about her health condition.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque visited the hospital around 7am today, shortly after Fajr prayers.
Hefazat-e-Islam Joint Secretary General Junaid Al Habib arrived with several other leaders at about 8:45am to check on the BNP chief.
Later, around 10am, Senior Joint Member Secretary of the National Citizens' Party (NCP) Tasnim Zara, the party's Chief Organizer for the southern region Hasnat Abdullah, and Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari also visited her.
Nagarik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna and Bangladesh Aam Jonogon Party Member Secretary Tarique Rahman also visited Begum Zia.
Senior BNP leaders have also met her at the hospital. Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Vice Chairman Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan and Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna visited her, along with several grassroots activists and supporters.
Speaking to journalists after the visit, Khairul Kabir Khokon said, "Tarique Rahman may return to the country at any time to be by his mother's side. Khaleda Zia has been shifted from the CCU to the operation theater area for further tests."
BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan added, "Begum Khaleda Zia remains under close observation in the CCU. Discussions are ongoing with several hospitals abroad, and an air ambulance is on standby. She will be taken abroad once her condition stabilizes enough for travel."
Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna urged party activists not to gather unnecessarily at the hospital. "Doctors are monitoring her round the clock. People across Bangladesh love Begum Khaleda Zia. I pray that Almighty Allah grants her a speedy recovery," he said.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital on November 23 after suffering from breathing difficulties caused by a lung infection, which later developed into pneumonia.
She also has several long-term health complications, including kidney and liver problems, arthritis, and diabetes, making her treatment more challenging as managing one condition may worsen another.
