Chargesheets filed in 15 cases related to student uprising: Police HQ

Chargesheets have been submitted in 15 cases linked to incidents that occurred across the country during last year's student-led mass uprising, the Police Headquarters said on Sunday.

Of the 15 cases, five are murder cases, while the remaining ten involve other criminal charges.

According to official sources, three of the murder cases are from Sherpur, with the other two being from Kurigram and Chattogram Metropolitan areas.

Of the non-murder cases, three are from Chapainawabganj, two are from Sirajganj, and there's one each from Dhaka metropolitan, Barishal metropolitan, and Pabna. Two of the cases are under investigation by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Senior police officials are directly supervising the investigations to ensure proper handling of the cases.

The Police Headquarters said that efforts are underway to complete investigations into all remaining cases and to bring those responsible to justice.
