Sheikh Hasina lost capability to run the country: Fazlul Huq

"The students and the mass people have ousted the fascist government through the July uprising being inspired with the spirit of Amar Ekushey," he said while addressing a 'shadow parliament' titled 'July uprising has proved that the spirit of Amar Akushey has not gone in
vain" at the Film Development Corporation (FDC) here.

Enforced disappearance and torturing the political opponents by keeping them into custody was a major crime of the previous government, the Bangla Academy president said, adding that Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country on August 5 last year in the face of mass uprising led by the students and the people.
He urged the interim government to bring back Sheikh Hasina from New Delhi under the extradition treaty between India and Bangladesh and put her on trial for the mass killing and crimes against humanity.
