Masudul Hoque elected BSRF President

Masudul Hoque, Special Correspondent of United News of Bangladesh (UNB), has been elected president of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) for the 2025–2026 term.

Mohammad Ubaydullah (Badal) of Daily Kaler Kantho has been elected general secretary, joining Masud on the new executive committee.

The election was held on Sunday (June 22) at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital. Of the 156 registered voters, 151 cast their ballots, with four votes declared invalid due to errors.

Masud earlier served as general secretary two consecutive terms in the outgoing committee.

The results were announced by Chief Election Commissioner and Jatiya Press Club President Hasan Hafiz. He was assisted by former Jatiya Press Club president and Desh Rupantor editor Kamal Uddin Sabuj, and former general secretary and Amar Desh executive editor Syed Abdal Ahmad, who served as election commissioners.
