BNP announces 3-day programmes to mark Martyred Intellectuals Day, Victory day

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a three-day special programme to observe Martyred Intellectuals Day on Sunday [December 14], and celebrate Victory Day on Tuesday [December 16].

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement while joining a programme at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) Auditorium in the capital's Farmgate area. 

To mark the Martyred Intellectuals Day, Rizvi said leaders and activists of the BNP will pay homage to the martyred intellectuals at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard at 9:00 am on December 14.

Besides, a discussion meeting will also be held in the afternoon to mark the day.

On December 15, the party announced another discussion meeting that will be held in the presence of the country's distinguished intellectuals and BNP leaders. 

On the occasion of Victory Day, Rizvi said the BNP will hoist national and party flags atop the party offices on Tuesday [December 16].

He said party leaders and activists, led by senior leaders, will place wreaths at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on the day. 

In addition, the party will also lay wreaths at the mausoleum of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman to mark the day.
