'Amra BNP Poribar' urges people to remain alert against fraudsters

'Amra BNP Poribar', a platform dedicated to the BNP, its leaders, activists and supporters, has urged the people to remain alert against fraudsters who are demanding money in the name of the organization or the party.

In a statement signed by its member secretary, agriculturist Md Moksedul Momin (Mithun), the organization said it has come to their notice that some fraudulent groups are approaching the families of those killed during the July-August Mass Uprising, promising financial assistance while demanding "registration fees."

The statement made it clear that neither "Amra BNP Poribar" nor the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) ever seeks money from the families of martyrs.

"These fraudsters are deliberately trying to malign the BNP and 'Amra BNP Poribar' by exploiting the name of our organization," the statement said.

The culprits have reportedly been using the phone number 01714668001, which the organization described as "completely fake and fraudulent."

The statement urged everyone to outright reject any such demands for money made in the name of BNP or 'Amra BNP Poribar' and immediately inform the member secretary or any other members of the organization.

It further said that BNP and 'Amra BNP Poribar' have always stood beside the families of martyrs, remain so now, and will continue to do so in the future.
