Tarique gives wheelchairs among 10 victims of mass upsurge
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today said that various state institutions across the country would be named after the martyrs of July-August mass upsurge if his party is voted to power.
He said this while addressing a discussion virtually organized by ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ at Jatiya Press Club here.
Different government establishments would be named after the martyrs to keep their names remember forever, he said.
Tarique Rahman reiterated his commitment to stand beside the victims of July-August movement.
In the programme ten persons, who sustained injuries during the July-August movement, were given wheelchairs. He urged the well-off people of the society to extend their helping hand in support of the injured persons.
Senior joint secretary general of BNP Ruhul kabir Rizvi handed over the wheelchairs on behalf of Tarique Rahman.
Chaired by convenor of Amra BNP Paribar Atiqur Rahman Rumon the meeting was addressed, among others by M Rashiduzzaman Millat, Abul Kalam Azad, Barrister Mir Helal Uddin, Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul and Dr M A Muhith.
