The Police Headquarters today called upon all not to share PIN numbers of the mobile financial service (MFS) that include bKash, Nagad, Rocket and the bank cards as the phone calls are being made from the national emergency service number 999 through cloning.

“Do not share the PIN number of mobile banking accounts and bank cards with anyone.

The people are requested to be aware of such fraudsters and report them to the concerned police station or 999,” said a press release of the Police Headquarters.

Recently, there have been complaints that the national emergency service 999 number is being cloned to ask for the PIN number of bKash or other mobile banking accounts, it also said.

There is no scope to ask for the PIN number of a person’s mobile banking account (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, etc.) or the PIN number of the bank’s debit or credit card from the national emergency service number 999, it continued
The national emergency service 999 usually provides police, fire service and ambulance services in times of emergency as per the needs of citizens, it said.
