Met office forecasts light rain over parts of country
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over three divisions located at south and south-eastern areas of the country for the next 24 hours beginning from this morning.
"Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country", said a Met office weather bulletin here today.
The Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved northwestwards and intensified into a Cyclonic storm "Fengal" (pronounced as FEINJAL) and now lies over the same area at 06 AM today (30 November 2024).
It is likely to move northwesterly direction further and may cross North Tamil Nadu - Puducherry coast during evening today (30 November, 2024). Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by (1-2)øC over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 34.0 degree Celsius at Sitakunda and minimum temperature today was recorded 10.3 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
The sunsets at 05:10 PM and rises at 06:25 AM tomorrow in the capital.
