One killed, another critically injured in Khulna court shooting

A man was shot dead and another critically injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire outside the Khulna District and Sessions Judge Court on Sunday. 

The deceased was identified as Rajon, while the injured victim as Hasib. 

Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the two were leaving the court on a motorcycle after attending a hearing when the attackers struck around noon.

The gunmen fled the scene immediately after the gun attack, he said. 

Both victims were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where their condition is said to be critical. 

Police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
