Use of modern technology essential for promoting morals and values: Religious Affairs Adviser

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain has said that in today’s tech‑driven youth society, conveying Islamic morals and values effectively demands the creative use of modern tools such as attractive graphics, animations, videos, and short clips.

Speaking at the International Islamic Dawah Conference held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre on Thursday, he said that using online translation, subtitles, and multilingual content allows Dawah to cross both language and geographic barriers, extending its reach internationally.

He highlighted how platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and X (Twitter) enable a single speaker to reach millions instantly, live or in recorded form.

Traditional constraints on time and travel are bypassed thanks to tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and webinars, while online resources such as books and videos can disseminate knowledge more rapidly.

He asserted that using technology in Dawah and Tabligh work is no longer a luxury but a necessity, making Islam relevant to contemporary audiences worldwide.

However, the adviser urged the importance of knowledge, discipline and restraint in responsible use of these tools.
