PSC to scrap 44th BCS viva, republish 46th preliminary result
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has decided to cancel the oral exam (viva) of 44th BCS, reevaluate the 45th BCS’s written exam papers by third examiner and republish the preliminary result of 46th BCS examinations.
The decisions were taken today in a meeting of the commission to maintain transparency, fairness and impartiality in the examinations, said a PSC press release.
Cancelling the viva of 3,930 candidates of 44th BCS examination held earlier, PSC said, “All the 11,732 candidates who passed the written exam of 44th BCS will be called for oral exam (viva) again.”
In addition, the PSC has decided that the answer sheets for the 45th BCS written exam will be reevaluated by a third examiner to ensure transparency and fairness.
For the 46th BCS, the PSC has decided to announce new results of the preliminary exam, allowing an equal number of candidates to pass alongside the existing 10,638 successful candidates.
Earlier, the oral exam for the 44th BCS was suspended in July due to the quota reform movement.
