A 58-year-old woman was injured in a fight over sharing the money given by the bridegroom at a wedding gate in Etabarpur Union of Cumilla’s Chandina Upazila on Monday.

The injured was identified as Sayera Begum, grandmother of bride Fatema Akhter.

The incident took place at the wedding ceremony of Md Khokon Mia's daughter Fatema Akhter at Warish Haji house in Etabarpur Union.

Injured Sayera Begum was undergoing treatment at Chandina Upazila Health Complex.

According to the locals, Fatema's marriage was completed with Arafat of Nuritala village of Debidwar upazila on Monday afternoon.
